AMORY – Alene Carter Allred, 75, died July 31, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Services are today at 10 a.m. at E.E. Pickle funeral home. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Visitation is today before the service. A native of Quincy, Allred was a daughter of the late Frank and Ozema Jane Dunn Carter. A member of Antioch Baptist Church, she had worked at Mississippi Valley Net Co. before becoming a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Steve Allred; sisters, Edith Allred and Elizabeth Kitchen; and brothers, Harold "Bubba" and Billy Carter. She is survived by a daughter, Dianne "Ann" Tibbett, of Amory; sister, Catherine White, and brother, Johnny Carter, both of Georgia; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
