Ellie Palmer Adams, 100, of 432 Kelly Road, Union, S.C., widow of Joseph Franklin "Joe" Adams, died Friday, April 21, 2006, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Hospital after a brief illness. She was the last surviving member of her immediate Palmer family. Mrs. Adams was born in Gaffney, S.C. January 9, 1906, the daughter of the late James Palmer and Mariah George Palmer. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Union where she was a member of Circle Number Two and a member of Foster-Crawford Sunday School Class. Mrs. Adams was a former member of Clemson Extenison Homemaker Club and was retired from United Merchants - Buffalo Plant after 25 years of service. Surviving a son, Aubry Adams and wife Rosanell of Union; two grandsons, Al Adams and wife Susan of Union and Ron Adams and wife Cheryl of Simpsonville, S.C.; five granddaughters, Taylor and Hannah Adams both of Union, Megan, Joni and Logan Adams all of Simpsonville; several special nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Annie Mae Gibbs. Mrs. Adams was predeceased by a son Joe "Pete" Adams; four brothers, Columbus, Thomas, Mack and Cliff Palmer; three sisters, Martha Palmer, Mary Palmer Kirby and Belle Palmer Robinson.
