Roy married Cleatrice "Cleo" Simpson, daughter of Jack and Mary (Butler) Simpson, in 1952. They had three sons, Ronald, Donald and Kenneth.

Services for Roy Clifford Allen will be held Tuesday, April 10, at 11:00 A.M. in the Dillon Church of God. Burial with full military and caisson honors will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 Monday in Cooper Funeral Home.

Mr. Allen, 82, died Friday April 6, 2012 in McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.

Born in Dillon County June 1, 1929 he was the son of the late John Colin Allen and Hattie Sue Whittington Allen. He was a member of the Dillon Church of God and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was wounded in the Korean Conflict. He was the widower of Cleatrice Simpson Allen.

Survivors include his wife, Callie Williams Allen of Hamer; sons, Dr. Ronald Allen (Sherry) of Redwing, MN., Donald Allen (Debbie) of Lincoln Park, Michigan, and Kenneth Allen (Michelle) of Lake View; daughters, Angie Norton Russ of Latta and Lorrie Norton Ulmer (Michael) of Florence; Grandchildren, Amanda Legrey (Erik), Clifton Allen, Suzanne Allen, Kimberly Allen, Steven Allen (Jennifer), Ashley Allen Lewis (Austin), Zachary Allen, Raleigh Russ, Morgan Ulmer, Jacob Ulmer, and Grant Ulmer; great-grandson, Colton Parker Lewis; brother, Bryant "Buddy" Allen (Barbara) of Dillon; sister, Daisy Allen of Dillon.

Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
