Per his death certificate found on Ancestry.com: His name appears to be General (as his first name) Hagood Aaron, he was a son of James Aaron and Martha Huggins and the husband of Lula Coker Aaron. He was retired at the time of his death and lived at 835 Ohio in Columbia. He died at Columbia Hospital of cardiovascular disease. Please see note below.

The body will remain at the home of his son, Walter Aaron, at 840 Ohio street until time for the services.

Note: It is very hard to tell if his first name is General or Hagood. I cannot find a reference to a military reason for the General to mean his rank. He is enumerated on census records and City Directories as Hagood.
