SHELBY-Marie Huggins Arnold, 101, formerly of Camden, and widow of Warren William "W.W." Arnold, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012.
Born in Corbetts Mills, Lee County, she was the daughter, of the late John Wylie Huggins and Mary Colvin "Mame" Huggins.
She was retired after many years with Belk in Camden and in Rock Hill. She had won three medals for public speaking while in Lee County's Central High School. She was a longtime artist and enjoyed doing paintings for her grandchildren. Mrs. Arnold was a member of Second Baptist Church of Shelby. She had always been very active in church Youth Programs.
She is survived by her daughter, Libby A. Creswell and her son-in-law, Charles Creswell, of Shelby; grandchildren, Cary Duncan and her husband, Bob of Farmington, Utah., Chris Creswell and his wife, Cathy of Boiling Springs, Clay Creswell of Rocky Point, and Lisa Daniel and her husband, David of Ridgeway; great- grandchildren, Jay and Matt Duncan, Casey and Christian Creswell, Joshua Appleman and Bobbie Schermbeck.
She is survived by a sister, Mary H. Smith of Hartsville and Mrs. Arnold was one of 13 children.
She was predeceased in death by her son, Bobby Warren Arnold and daughter-in-law, Wyrian Ross Arnold.
Mrs. Arnold's family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Cleveland County.
Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 1659 Kershaw Hwy (Hwy 521), Camden, S.C.
