Barry L. Bauer, 53, of Hilliard, OH, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born in Schaefferstown, PA but has been a long-time resident of central Ohio. Barry worked for Nationwide Insurance for 15 years, was an U.S. Army Veteran, and an accomplished whittler. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Bauer. He is survived by his wife, M[_] Bauer; two sons, J[_] of Columbus, J[_] (C[_]) Bauer of Hilliard; beloved granddaughter, P[_]; mother, I[_] Lapp; two sisters, D[_] (S[_]) Shivery and B[_] (M[_]) Hoagland. Friends are invited to a Memorial Visitation, Friday, March 15, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 2990 Bethel Rd. in Columbus. A memorial service will be held in his home state of PA at a later date.

Barry will be cremated and buried at Paradise Mennonite Cemetery following a memorial service in Pennsylvania on March 23, 2013. His father-in-law, Karl John Trommler (FAG Memorial #37343416) is also buried here.
