LaVerne Bell, of Buffalo Grove, Ill., died December 12, 2013 in South Haven, Mich. with her children at her bedside. LaVerne celebrated her 80th birthday on Nov. 21, 2013. LaVerne was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Dorothy (Feinstein) Bell; sister, Rochelle Bell-Milano; and ex-husband, Allen Taradash.
LaVerne is survived by her children - Denese Jacoby-Diamond (Jerry Diamond), Michele (Mark) Halperin, Bambi Jacoby (Joel Schechter), Roni Taradash & Rory Taradash; her grandchildren - Brandee (Anthony) Fontanini & Ian Roth, Beri Cohen, Mardi & Joey Halperin, Bryan, Scott & Heather Rosenberg, & Ari Julian Joseph; and her great-grandchildren - Noam, Noi & Ahava Cohen.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 15 with Rabbi Mordechai Haller officiating at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven, Mich. Laverne was laid to rest at the First Hebrew Congregation Cemetery in South Haven, Mich.
