Services for Hunter Thornton Byles, 22, were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 4 at the Rose-Neath Many Chapel with the Rev. Jack Bell officiating. Interment followed at Robeline Cemetery.
Mr. Byles was born Oct. 25, 1987 in DeRidder and died on July 31, 2010, in Many. He graduated from Many High School and was currently a student at LSUS in Shreveport.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Albert and Mildred Bell of Robeline and Robert and Ann Byles of Many; uncle, Steven Paul Thornton; and grandparents, Marcus C.S. Cherry, III, and Virginia D. Cherry.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Laurie Cherry and husband, Steve, of Chesterfield, Va.; father, Clauriste Byles, Jr., and wife, Wendy, of Many; grandparents, Clauriste Byles, Sr., and wife, Judy, of Many and Jack and Juanita Thornton of DeRidder; and step-sisters Molly Simpson of Many and Jordan and Savannah Cherry of Chesterfield, Va.
