Jerome Otis (Romeo) Banks was called to his eternal home on Thursday, July 5, 2007. Jerome was born on April 14, 1980. Mr. Banks was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He graduated from Marion Abramson Senior High School. He was employed by Von Valiere and worked as a carpenter. His mother will always cherish her deepest love she had for him. Jerome was the beloved son of Mark Sanders, Sr. and Constance Handy Banks. Survivors include five brothers, Henry Earl, Jr., Eric, Sr., Mark Sanders, Jr., Rodney and Dominick Banks, an adopted brother, Joshua Paul Preice, two sisters, Brandie and Bridgette Handy, his grandparents, Eunice Handy and Marine Sanders. Jerome will also be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jerome was a very devoted uncle to his nephews, Xavier, Jr., and Dominick Banks. Jerome was dearly loved. Funeral Services will be held at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street at N. Scott on Friday, July 13, 2007 at 11:00 A.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Repass will be at Palaier's Paris, 4027 North Claiborne Avenue, New Orleans, LA.
