Lula Lethea Moore Balfour was the youngest child of Dr. Madison Tyler Moore and Mary Emily Webb. Dr. Moore (1811-1863) was born in Virginia to William A. Moore (FAG #27421619) and Jane Dalton Hanby Moore (FAG #27421660), and he was the grandson of Rodeham Moore (FAG #27421099) and Elizabeth Gallahue Moore (FAG #27420838). Dr. Moore died in Ion, La., but his burial is unknown. Mary Emily Webb (1821-1884) was the daughter of John Webb and Lockey R. Smith, and was a distant cousin of her husband. Her burial place is also unknown.
Lula Moore and Charles Perry Balfour had the following children: Eva, Hugh Ben, Polly Rosa, Myrtle M., Louie L., Charles R., Fred H., and Clyde.
The child named Polly Rosa was probably named after Lula's sister Rosa May who died in 1863 at the age of 5.
Son Fred H., died March 28, 1919 in France. Son Clyde died in 1927 but I have been unable to locate his grave.
