Myrtle Adams, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away May 23, 2008 after a long illness. She was born September 18, 1926 in Trumann, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, eight siblings, her husband, Edwin, her son, E.H., and her daughter, Darlene.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Lee) Grannell; daughter-in-law, Jane Adams; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, H.C. (Wally) Qualls; one son-in-law, David and wife Teresa Duncan.

Myrtle was raised to work hard and started picking cotton in the fields of Arkansas alongside her family. At the age of 17, she eloped with Edwin on February 10, 1944. They started their married life by being separated by WWII. She continued to run the family home while being a Navy wife for 28 years. Following Edwin's retirement they opened the Villa Italiano restaurant in Flour Bluff which they owned until 1982. She then worked various part-time jobs while also enjoying her time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all her family.

Visitation and a funeral service were held at Seaside Funeral Home on May 26th & 27th. Emtombment followed.
