"Bolt of Lightning Kills State Banker
Stilwell, July 17 - F.S. Howard of Baron, 65 years old, merchant and banker, was killed Wednesday when lightning struck him as he was walking across a field to his car on the highway six miles north of here. Howard, former commission of Adair County, was president of the People's bank of Westville, president of the Muskogee Production Credit Association and proprietor of a general store and canning factory at Baron. His wife and six children survive.
