Services for Mrs Catherine (Katie) Albert, 78, will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Oct. 7 from Gubser’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Broeder, pastor of the United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Fieldon Cemetery. Her death occurred at 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 5 at Greenwood Manor. She was born in Fieldon Feb. 20, 1899, a daughter of Frederick (Fritz) and Magdelina Aubagast Groppel. Her husband, Nicholas Albert, died in 1938. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Clifton (Lula) Cunningham and Mrs. Sohpia Handler of Jerseyville, nieces and nephews. No visitation.
