Ernest "Man" Broussard, a lifelong resident of Vinton, passed away August 28, 2009, in a local care center. He was 91 years old.
Survivors include his wife, Lourina Broussard; his children, Roger Dale Broussard, Sarah Barzare and husband, John, and Lynn Broussard; grandchildren, Mathew Barzare and wife, Christina, Leslie Barzare, and Andrea Barzare; great-grandchild, Lauren Barzare; and siblings, Fern Woods, and J.E. "Slim" Broussard. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Anthony Broussard.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Sunday, August 30, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. The Rev. Robin Norris will officiate. Burial will be in Granger Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Sunday in the funeral home.
