Rosalie Lucille Trahan, 77, a native and resident of Grand Isle, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2008.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church in Grand Isle. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Geraldine Bailey and husband, Phil, of Mena, Ark.; two brothers, Hirvin Barthelemy of Houma and Roley Barthelemy of Marrero; one sister, Victoria Smith of Franklin; three granddaughters, Katrina Darden of Charenton, Cassandra Chapman of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Tiffany Finkelsen; and four great-grandchildren, Erica Jade Perez, Olivia Rose and Tristan Mark Johathon Chapman and Summer Rayne Finkelsen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Trahan; her parents, Henry Martin and Josephine Dinet Barthelemy; one daughter, Carolyn Longbons; two brothers, Vincent and Charles Barthelemy; and four sisters, Lillian Blazio, Evila Crosby, Henrietta Lafont and Mercedes Scioneaux.
She was custodian at Grand Isle High School, a member of Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church Auxiliary, American Red Cross and Grand Isle Fire Dept.
She was Catholic.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
