Louise Sandsness Alcott
Relatives of Mrs. Louise Alcott of Butte received word Tuesday afternoon that she had died that day in a Butte hospital following an operation for gallstones on Jan. 4. The body will be brought here tonight for funeral services in the Lutheran church Friday afternoon at 2:30 and burial in Mountain View.
Alma Louise Alcott was born April 7, 1891, to Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Sandsness, pioneer settlers in the Melville community. She was married in Livingston in June 1918 to Wallace E. Alcott, who died many years ago. About 20 years ago she went to Butte to open a delicatessen shop which she had operated ever since. Two months ago an infection in a foot compelled her to lay off working, the; operation following.
She leaves one daughter, Mae Newberry Alcott of Butte; four sisters, Milly McDonald of Butte, Mae Egeland of Livingston, Christine Green and Clara Liebel of Big Timber; four brothers, James and Hjalmer of Big Timber, Henry; of Anaconda and William of Harlowton.
