"AGNEW--At San Francisco, Jan. 2, Ellard AGNEW, a native of California, aged 27 years, 16 days.
[Death of Ellard AGNEW -- …caused by pleuro-pneumonia. For a long time past his health has been quite poor and with hopes of bettering it he made a trip to Southern California. On his return he made the trip by the ocean route and on the steamer contracted a severe cold. On his arrival at the metropolis he laid over a couple of days, but his sickness increasing he endeavored to start home, but, owing to weakness, found that he could not made the trip. His mother was summoned to the city, and she, in conjunction with other relatives, friends, and members of the Native Sons, did everything possible for the sufferer, but to no avail.
The funeral will take place from the residence of Mr. H. POND, tomorrow [Saturday, Jan. 5th] at 2pm.)"
