"Train Kills Mexican" – A Mexican [no name given] belonging to the I. & G. N. extra section crew was killed by an eastbound I. & G. N. train Sunday afternoon just below the depot. He attempted to cross in front of the train approaching on the opposite track he retraced his steps, but was too late to save himself from being struck by it. He was buried Monday in the Mexican Cemetery at Big Lump. [This would be the San Antonio "Big Lump" Cemetery]
