Francesco Anastasi

Francesco Anastasi, 72, of 182 Morningstar Rd., Elm Park, died yesterday in St Vincent's Hospital. He had entered the hospital a month ago with pneumonia.
A native of Italy, Mr. Anastasi came to this country in 1913 and settled on Staten Island a year later. He had 30 years of service with the Department of Sanitation when he retired in 1956.
He is survived by four daughters; Mrs. Dora Arslanian; Mrs. Clara Pugarelli; Mrs. Stella Ferrara and Miss Gloria Anastasi of Manhattan; a son, John.
Three brothers, Vernon of Albany; Severino of Williamsport, Pa and George of Mariners Harbor; two sisters, Mrs. Venanzia Dascenzo of Detroit and Mrs. Carlotta Moreante of Italy and four grandchildren.
A requiem mass will be offered tomorrow in St Adalbert's RC Church.
