He served in the Yellow Arrow, 8th Infantry Division, European Theater and fought in the Battle of the Bulge and other Berlin Battles. He was a craftsman who worked for local contractors like Robert Van Patten and ended his working days at Rotterdam Ventures.
Survivors include two sons, David B. and wife, Barbara of Schenectady and Dennis M. of Rotterdam; and daughter, Bonnie Marette and husband, Michael of Minnesota; four grandchildren; a sister, Frances Halsdorf; a brother, Garrett Aldershoff and wife, Della; a sister, Mary Relyea; sister-in-law, Mary Aldershoff; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Henry was also predeceased by siblings: John Aldershoff, Anna (or Ann) Adams and Elsie Hanson (or Hansen).
