She moved near Olney in 1936 where she and her husband were dairy farmers.
She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School. She was a charter member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League where she served in most offices. She was a member of the Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary and was a volunteer at Olney Nursing Center teaching a Bible class for 26 years.
Survived by three sons - Rev. David Gerhardt Jeske of Plainview, Jerold Wayne Jeske and Phil Barlau Jeske, both of Olney; two daughters - Janie Cheryl Gauger of Cooperstown, ND and Sandra Sue Barr of Lombard, IL; one sister - Hannah Fairchild of St. Cloud, FL; two brothers - Ewald Barlau of Hutchinson, MN and Wilmar Barlau of Young American, MN; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two granddaughters - Jennifer Ann Jeske and Hope Gauger.
