Jerry Jeske and Ella Barlau were married on 9 June 1936 in St. John's Lutheran Church in Young American, Minnesota, home of the bride. They paid $2850 for their first home, a rock house at 908 W. Payne. They moved to a farm rented from his father where they established the dairy farm. In 1945, they moved the farmstead and dairy across the highway to the present location where they continue to operate in the dairy business until 1908. Jeske previously was employed by Perkins and Myers and operated J&K Drilling Company between 1953-1966.
