|Birth: ||1575, England|
|Death: ||1614, England|
English Nobility. 15th Baron Grey de Wilton.
He was the son of Arthur Grey, 14th Baron and Jane Sibella Morrison. His ancestors included the Barons Grey de Wilton, the Earl of Worcester and the 1st Baron Hussey of Sleaford. His maternal grandmother was the Countess of Bedford.
He was convicted of treason and sentenced to execution, but appears to have died in prison before the sentence was carried out.
The Main Plot of 1603 was a conspiracy by English Catholics, allegedly led by catholic noblemen Henry Brooke, Lord Cobham, Sir George Brooke and Thomas Grey, 15th Baron Grey de Wilton, to remove King James I from the English throne, replacing him by aid of Spain with his cousin Arabella Stuart.
Thomas died without issue and his title appears to have fallen into abeyance between his surviving sisters. The barony was not revived until 1784, when it was created for a descendant of Thomas' sister Bridget. It became extinct in 1804.
