Death: Mar. 31, 1917

Casualty of the Great War, he served as Able Seaman in the Royal Navy, HMS "Lucia." Service No: J/15938. He died, aged 21, in Middlesborough, then in the North Riding of Yorkshire.
His brother, Able Seaman Francis Henry Boyton, Service No: J/6268, Royal Navy H.M.S. "Indefatigable," also fell. He was killed aged 23 at the Battle of Jutland, 31st May 1916. He has no known grave but the sea and is commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, panel 11.
They were sons of Edward Francis and Alice Boyton, of 8, Abbey Rd., West Ham, London.
Their step-brother, Thomas Morris, served with the 10th Hussars, died February 12th 1921, aged 17.
