Leon L. Blank of Avon, a former local resident, died Thursday (Sept. 12, 1963) in Dansville Memorial Hospital. He was 78.
Born in Byersville, he had lived in this area most of his life and was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include a half-brother, Barney Blank of Jackson, Mich., and two grandchildren.
A funeral service was held in the Chamberlin Funeral Home here Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Birger Halverson officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery, in West Sparta. (DB, September 17, 1963, p1)
