Edwin T. Barron, 84, of Cottage Street in Dansville died Monday (Jan. 27, 1992) in his home following a long illness.
Born Nov. 4, 1907, in Nunda, a son of Clifton and Edna Sanford Barron, he was married for 56 years to the former Helen Knapp who died in August of 1989. Mr. Barron was employed by the Dansville Central School District as superintendent of buildings and grounds for 37 years, retiring in 1973.

A 44-year member of the Dansville Presbyterian Church, he also was a 58-year member of Dansville Chapter 91, Royal Arch Masons and a member of Phoenix Lodge 115, F.&A.M. in Dansville. Mr. Barron was a honorary member of the Protectives Fire Co. and also involved with Dansville Rotary Club and State Retired Employees Association.

Surviving are several cousins.

A service was conducted with the Rev. Lynn U. Nelson officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery, West Sparta, with arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home of Dansville.
