1850-Thomas lived in Cherokee Co. TX with his wife, Sarena, who was 23 b.in TN, They had one child Martha, who was 10 mos. old and b.in TX
1860-They lived at Fort Belknap P.O. and had 4 more children born in TX-Josiah 9, Julia, 6, Harriett 3, & Rececca 6 mos.
Sarena died between 1860 and before 1867 as Thomas remarried 19 Sept 1867 to Cynthia(Bartholomew}Benton who was 26 b.TN
1870-They lived Tarrant Co-Fort Worth and had one more Aytes child listed-Alfred H. 1 b.TX & a step-son James Benton 9, b.TX
Cynthia died before 1877 as Thomas married Oct 29, 1877 E. A.(Susan) Howard b.1830 IL. His son Alfred also was not listed on the 1880 census so he must of died also.
1880 living in Baylor Co. Harriett 22, Rebecca 20, Amanda 9,Thomas 6.
There is a AYTES plot in the Round Timber Cem. with "A" stones marking the area. I'm fairly sure there are family members buried there.
