Archie Aintablian, 77, of 5247 Jamesville Road, DeWitt, died Tuesday at Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Born in Kessab, Armenia, Mr. Aintablian lived most of his life in the Syracuse area. He owned and operated the Arrow Diner in Syracuse for more than 30 years, retiring in 1986. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Aintablian was a member of the DeWitt Community Church and the Boys Club.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; a son, John C. of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Martha J. Smith of Brodheadsville, Pa; three brothers, Elbert Edison of Syracuse and Joseph and Edward Aintablian, both of California; a sister, Louise Muserlian of Syracuse; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in DeWitt Community Church. Burial will be in DeWitt Community Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Fairchild and Meech DeWitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd. E.
