Daughter of James Boyl and Katharina M. Young, wife of John Charles Abbuehl, whom she married on June 18, 1898 in Brooklyn, New York, and mother of Catherine Abbuehl.

She and her husband lived on Carroll Street in Brooklyn where her husband worked as a senior officer at a bank and she worked as a bank clerk at a brokerage.

Obituary - Mrs. Katherine Abbuehl, aged 67, of Medford Avenue, North Patchogue, died Sunday in Mather Hospital, Port Jefferson. Born in New York, she had lived in the Patchogue section for the past 16 years. She was a member of the Congregational Church. She leaves her husband, John C. Abbuehl. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Abbuehl home, the Rev. Arthur H. Cooke, pastor of the Patchogue Congregational church, officiating. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
