Mrs Adams attended Sherman public schools. On December 24, 1938 she married James Edward Adams in Sherman. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1995. Mrs. Adams retired from ConAgra. She was a member of Grayson Bible Baptist Church and the V.F.W. auxiliary.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Barbara Brown, Mrs. Adams is survived by son: James Byron Adams and wife, Anita of Georgetown, Texas; Granddaughters: Shelley Martin and husband, Aubrey of Sherman, Jamy Stumbaugh and husband Jay of Denison; Grandson Kevin Adams of San Marcos, Texas: six great-greatchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Doris Embry of Sherman, Mary Wetzel of Tom Bean, Martha Shonk of Tucson, Arizona and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are family members.
The family received friends at Dannel Funeral Home one hour prior to the service..
