Hortencia C. Barrientos, 80, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, June 27, 2006. She was born on August 20, 1925 in Robstown, Texas to Martin and Bartola Lopez Cano. Hortencia was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Robstown.
She goes home to the Lord to reunite with her husband, Frutoso Barrientos, her infant son, Hector Barrientos, and her brother, Lauro Longoria who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving sons, Jose Armando (Pam) Barrientos, Roberto (Noemi) Barrientos, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, Hector (Margie) Barrientos of Abilene, Texas; her daughters, Lucy (Julian) Velasquez and Dahlia Garcia both of Robstown, Texas; her sister, Lucy (Rey) Bayardo of Robstown, Texas; her brothers, Lorenzo (The Late Antonia) Longoria of Killeen, Texas, Leopoldo (Crimelda) Longoria of Puerto Rico, and Leonel Longoria of Colorado. She was also blessed and adored by her 13 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A Rosary was recited on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown, Texas. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, June 30, 2006 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Interment followed in Robstown Memorial Park Cemetery.
