Royalty. Born the daughter of King Albrecht II and Elisabeth of Bohemia. She married Casimir IV of Poland on February 10th, 1454 to strengthen the connections between the Jagiellons and the Habsburgs and the Holy Roman Empire. In the 38 years of their marriage she bore thirteen children of which 4 were kings, thus she is also known as "mother of kings". Her eldest son Wladyslaw succeeded her brother Ladislaus posthumous as King of Bohemia and Hungary.
