Soviet hockey player and coach. Forward. Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (1974). Merited Coach of the USSR (1988). He started playing in 1955 in Moscow in the school team, then in the Youth Academy "Wings of the Soviets". In 1958-74, she performed in a team of masters "Wings of the Soviets." In 1974-75 played in Austria for the club "Klagenfurt". He played for the second team of the USSR. In the years 1983-96 - Head Coach "Wings of the Soviets." Under his leadership, the team won the bronze medalist of the USSR (1989, 1991). In 1996-1997 - President of the "Wings of the Soviets." In 1987-92, one of the coaches of the national team of the USSR/CIS, European champion in 1987, Olympic champion in 1988, 1992, World Champion 1989, 1990. He was awarded the Medal of Honor (1996), the medal "For Labor Valor" (1988). In 1997 - head coach of Russia (4th place at the World Cup). Being the coach suffered complicated neurosurgery to remove a malignant tumor on the brain.
