Rita Aaron, a longtime Croton resident, died Sunday at Westchester Medical Center. She was 77. She was born in Worcester, MA on April 17, 1928, the daughter of George and Eva Dadah Siagh. Rita worked as a Hair Dresser in the Croton area.

She was the widow of the late Jacob Aaron. The couple was married in Tarrytown on October 10, 1953. Mr. Aaron died in 1973. Mrs. Aaron was a member of the Ossining Golden Agers, and was a former member of the Cortlandt Senior Citizens.

She is survived by a son, Steven Aaron of Katonah, her daughters Lisa Flora of Hopewell Junction and Carrie Young of Ossining; also a sister Adele Ashkar of Swampscott, MA and her grandchildren Emily and Peter Flora, David and Lauren Young and Jake and Michael Aaron. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a granddaughter Melissa Aaron.

There will be a Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10 am at Holy Name of Mary Church. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand St., Croton.
