SUDDEN DEATH OF RETIRED FARMER
Well Known New Kingston Man Passes Away at the Age of 79 Years

Robert H. Archibald, a prominent retired farmer died Sunday night about midnight at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ina Faulkner. About a year ago Mr. Archibald and his wife who is an invalid, sold their house and lot near their old farm, and lived with their children, He was born some 79 years ago on the Archibald farm now occupied by a nephew, Burton Archibald and in the old house near the present one. Practically all of his life was spent in the valley, and most of it In good health, although he has been falling In health for the past few months. He was a welcome visitor in the village Friday and in about usual health until Sunday evening, when he began to fall.

Mr. Archibald was a member of the church and always stood for law enforcement.

The funeral was held at the house of his daughter on Wednesday, conducted by rev. L. R, Long, assisted by Rev. Lull of Margaretville. Besides the invalid wife and daughter already mentioned he is survived by one brother Andrew in Cal, one sister, Mrs. Mary Pinney in Idaho, one son Andrew, who lives near Margaretville. Interment In the Archibald cemetery on the home farm.
