Sixto Aguilar, age 86, of Maud, Texas, died Thursday, May 15, 2008 in a local hospital.
Mr. Aguilar was born August 6, 1921 in Juarez, Mexico. He was formerly employed with Goodwill Industries and the Fuller Brush Company. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and a U.S. army veteran having served during WW II.
Survivors include one sister, Carmen Jordan of Texarkana, Texas; three nieces, Nancy White of Maud, Texas, Norma Carlson of Texarkana, Texas, Mary Baker of Texarkana, Texas; four nephews, Jerry Jordan of Huntsville, Texas, Mike Jordan of Texarkana, Texas, Mark Jordan of Texarkana, Texas, George Delgadillo of El Paso, Texas and a number of other relatives.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Christian Cellaya officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Center Ridge Cemetery, Maud, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Msgr. Gerald Priest officiating
