FLORENCE [Rankin Co.]—Alton Steve Alford, 32, a claims adjuster, died of pneumonia Tuesday [June 4] at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Services are 11a.m. Saturday at Spring Hill Baptist Church with burial the church cemetery. Peoples Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mr. Alford was a Florence native and a 1982 graduate of Florence High School. He attended Jackson State University. He was an active member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include; mother, Johnnie Mae Alford of Florence; sister, Louise Britton, Rhodina Dudley, Johnetta Lewis and Monika McTee, all of Florence; and brothers, Willie B. Alford of Chicago and Paul A. Alford of Anguilla.
