FULTON - Thomas Wallace Angle, 77, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, at The Meadows in Fulton. He was born Aug. 29, 1930, to Perry and Ethel Wallace Angle of Fulton. He was a 1948 graduate of Tremont High School. He worked as a contractor for J.E. Staub Inc. before beginning his own carpentry business with longtime partner J.D. Davis. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Fulton, where he was a deacon, taught Sunday school, served as church treasurer, and led congregational singing for many years. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing, attending gospel singings, gardening and playing with his dog, Peanut.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with the Rev. James Wilson and the Rev. Scott Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Young Memorial Cemetery in Smithville with Bro. Billy Owen officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Eldred Angle of Fulton; one son, David Angle and Karen of Pontotoc; one daughter, ElizaBeth Beckham and Morgan of Leland; three grandchildren, Kim Tutor and Jonathan, Shane Angle and Lillian Angle; one great-grandchild, J.T. Tutor; one stepgrandchild, Andrea DeBow of Tupelo; two stepchildren, Keith Jones and Joy of Tupelo and family , and Mike Jones and Fran of Nettleton and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Joyce Cowley Angle; and an infant brother, Leon Angle.
Pallbearers will be Gary Wallace, Jim Whitt, Ricky Wright, Jonathan Tutor, Shane Angle and Matthew Bryant.
Visitation will be from 7 a.m. to service time today at the funeral home.
