Avaristo "Abie" George Lueras, age 51, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Avaristo was born in Albuquerque, NM on May 25, 1961, to Jose and Rosie (Barela) Lueras. Avaristo was a very loving and compassionate man. Avaristo was preceded in death by his father, Jose Lueras, brother, Ramon "Moni" and nephew, Joshua. Abie is survived by his mother, Rosie B. Lueras, fiancée, Annette LaJeunesse, brother, Jose Jr., sisters, Angie Santos, Barbara Gonzales, Mary Coss, Ann Baldonado and Mary H. Dow. Abie is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who loved him. Abie will be greatly missed. Visitation/Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Daniels Family Funeral Services Strong-Thorne Chapel, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. Interment to follow at Campo Santo de Manzano Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Dow, Eric Baldonado, Ray Lucero, Santiago A. LaJeunesse, Alec Gonzales and Elias Chavira. Honorary pallbearer will be John Dow.
