W. F. Blair, 29, died late Saturday night at University Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi, after an illness of two months. Mr. Blair suffered from acute leukemia since January 1967, however death was from a brain hemorrhage.

He was a native of Simpson County, and had been making his home in Jackson and Florence for a number of years. He was employed by Speed Mechanical Company of Jackson. He was a member of Phalti Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Charlene Prather Blair, one son, Milton B. Blair, two daughters, Annette M. Blair and Cynthia Dianne Blair, all of Florence; his mother, Mrs. Marie Blair, Vicksburg, three brothers, Archie Blair and Milton Blair of Vicksburg and James H. Blair of Magee, Mississippi, two sisters, Mrs. Robert Nunnery and Mrs. Horace Johnson of Vicksburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Phalti Baptist Church, near Prentiss, with the Reverend Billy Ingram, Reverend Mims Roberts and Reverend L. A. Stout officiating. Interment will be in the Phalti Cemetery. The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral hour, and will be at Glenwood Funeral until 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Active Pallbearers will be; Billie Joe Davis, J. D. Butler, Billy Bishoff, Johnnie Batton, Bobby Downing, Sidney Butler, Cleon Mews, West Pearson. Honorary Pallbearers, Reggie Magee, Gerold Bridges, Bob Brown, Mims Roberts, Larry Polk, James Parish, Charles Parish, Bud Parish, Garland Parish, Bonnie Magee, Virginia McQueen and Celia Ann Armstrong, who were his classmates.
