Geraldine Gonsoulin Adamson, 91, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012, in Cedar Park, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, December 20 at Brenham Memorial Chapel, Brenham, Texas. The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 21, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Brenham, with burial following at Prairie Lea Cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Peter's Episcopal Church.

Gerry was born in Port Arthur, Texas, to the late Horace and Georgie Gonsoulin. She was the oldest of three children and graduated from Jefferson High School and Port Arthur Business School. After graduation she worked various bookkeeping and banking jobs. She married Thomas J. Adamson Jr. on August 23, 1945 after his return from World War II, where he served his country as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps. They lived in Dallas and Temple, Texas, prior to moving to Lima, Peru, where Tom flew for Faucett Airlines. Upon their return to the United States, they moved to Houston and in 1952, settled in Brenham, Texas.

Gerry was a talented and well-known Texas artist, specializing in watercolor, as well as pen and ink sketches of historical buildings and homes in the Washington County area. She owned Tom and Gerry's Picture and Frame Shoppe and was an active member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom in 1971; sister, Ozelle Gonsoulin Lachausse; brothers-in-laws, sister-in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Green, of Indian Land, SC; Jan Hagood and husband, Terry, of Marble Falls, TX, Terrie Adamson, of Dallas, TX, and Lisa Johnson and husband, Gary, of Palm Desert, CA; grandchildren, Leslie Green Hunter and husband, Jeff, Amy Pattillo Power, Shannon Pattillo Elizalde and husband, Tony, Thomas Johnson and wife, Tracy, Courtney Johnson, and Drew Johnson; five great-grandchildren; sister, Myrna Lee Gonsoulin Becker; and numerous nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, and a brother-in-law.
