Abilene - Dorothy "Dot" Landers Barlow, 85, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend David Cason officiating. Burial will follow in the Potosi Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barlow was born October 10, 1926, in Ovalo, Texas. She and her husband, Marvin "Bud" Barlow, lived in various locations in the Southwest United States but lived primarily in the Midland and Abilene area. She was an employee of Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator, an administrative clerk for the Texas Highway Department and admitting clerk at Parkview Medical Center in Midland. She was a member at Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Marvin "Bud" Barlow of Abilene; a son, Russell Wayne Barlow of El Paso; two daughters, Susan Diane Thompson and husband, Lee of Midland and Judy Barlow Easley and husband, Tom of Magnolia; a brother, Clifford Landers of Tennessee; her grandchildren, Randy Carter and wife, Rebecca, Chris Thompson and Wife, Christin, Jennifer Goldsmith and husband, Joey, Christine Shepherd and husband, Jonathan, Stephen Barlow, Ryan Carter and wife, Amber, Jeremy Barlow and wife, Bonnie, Kelly Harkins and husband, Michael; and 13 great grandchildren.
