RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT.
Whereas, God in His all wise goodness and infinite wisdom, has taken from our midst our friend and Sunday school Superintendent Mr. H.F. Gilreath,
Be it resolved,
1st. That we, as a Sunday School deeply deplore the loss of such a man, but feel assured that an entrance to the heavenly kingdom has been his, and thank God for his beautiful life and service in the cause of Christ; that this church and this community, has sustained a great loss in his decease and we will miss him most when we gather at church and Sunday school.
2nd. That the memory and example of this consecrated man do their work in the lives of his friends and family.
3rd. That while we miss his pleasant face and encouraging words in our Sunday school, we will cherish his memory and strive to emulate his example.
4th. That we extend to the dear wife and daughter and many relatives
our greatest sympathy in this their dark hour of bereavment.
5th. That this tribute to the memory of our deceased brother be sent to the New Orleans Christian Advocate, the Houston Post, and the Okolona Messenger.
Mrs, Etta Westbrook,
Mrs. Annie Pearson,
Mrs. Emma Brand,
Miss Bettie Brand.
Okolona Messenger, March 2, 1911
