Bertha Mae Blaylock, 3-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Blaylock of Clarksdale, died Sunday at Coahoma County Hospital after being struck by an automobile. Mr. Blaylock is a former Montgomery countian.
The accident occurred Sunday morning about 9:30 in front of the Blaylock home, four miles north of Clarksdale on Oakhurst Road.
Funeral services were held at Mission Church on November 7th with the Rev. C. C. Carraway of Clarksdale and the Rev. G. R. Meaders of Pontotoc officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Lee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Serving as pallbearers were Charles Gammill, Jessie Griffin, Odie Havens and Gerald Gammill.
Besides her parents, she is survived by five brothers, J. C., Paul, Jerry, Warren and Wesley Blaylock, all of Clarksdale; and her paternal grandfather, Claudie Blaylock, of Carmi, Illinois.
