The Bryan Eagle-College Station Eagle - Sep 5, 2007 - April 24, 1926 - September 3, 2007 Elvina Louise "Bluebird" Butts, 81, of Carlos died Monday, September 3, 2007 at her home. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday, September 7 at Carlos Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 6 at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. Elvina, known as "Bluebird," was born April 24, 1926 in Courtney to August Fritz and Lena Abke Bushman. A near life long resident of Grimes County, she and her husband, Elmer "Bubba" Butts, spent a short time in the Highlands area before returning to Grimes County in 1958. She was a member of Carlos Missionary Baptist Church and devoted time every morning to reading her bible. Survivors include her children, Jeanette Butts Lawrence of Huntsville, Sandra Butts Krell and Kenneth Butts and wife, Patty, all of Anderson; grandchildren, Denise Lawrence Pitrucha, Jennifer Lawrence Ogg, Andrew Butts and wife, Chloe, Jody Butts and Adam Butts; great-grandchildren, Shelley Pitrucha, Marshall Pitrucha and Hayden Lamleright, Ray and Jordan Ogg and Shelby and Blake Butts; and a special niece, Barbara Nell Sloan.
