Stephen Ray Armstrong, 60, Church of Christ Minister and retired Air Force and Vietnam veteran, died November 13, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - DeSoto. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, November 15 at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home. Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 16 at Hernando Church of Christ, with burial in Love Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his wife Irene B. Armstrong, father Raymond A. Armstrong, Jr., mother, Mildred Catherine Austin, and niece, Penny Lane Armstrong. He leaves a son, Brandon McCain of Walls; sister, Carolyn Murray of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Paul Anderson Armstrong of Arkabutla, MS and Raymond Armstrong Aiken of West Monroe, LA; stepmother, Yvonne Armstrong of Walls, MS, one grandchild, Ethan, and several nieces and nephews.
