Martha Loden Benefield, 77, died Thursday, August 16, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was the widow of J. R. Benefield who died in 1982. She was a member of East Fulton Baptist Church.

Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Digby and the Rev. Grover Laird officiating. Burial was in the Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include one son, Johnny Benefield of Fulton; one brother, Quitman Loden of Booneville; two sisters, Marie Carroll of Fulton and Avie Nanney of Tremont; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
