Alton Bennett
Alton Bennett, 64, of Inverness died of cancer Thursday, August 17, 1995, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Mr. Bennett was a native of Winona. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Indianola and was a truck driver for Zero Butane Gas.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 19, at Second Baptist Church in Indianola with burial in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness.
Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife, Mrs. Estelle Hathcock Bennett; one daughter, Carole Bennett Baker of Greenville; one son, William Sanford Bennett of Meridian; one sister, Alma Ree Eskridge of Winona; two brothers, Cecil V. Bennett of Winona, James T. Bennett of Pascagoula; and two grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were James Landwirth, Billy Ed Tinnon, Charles Rowland, H. B. Rowland, Andy Inman and Morris Kimbrell.
Card Funeral Home of Indianola was in charge of arrangements.
