JOHN WM. ALLEN DIED SUDDENLY ON THURSDAY EVENING John William Allen, aged 59 years, died suddenly Tuesday night at 7 o'clock. It was reported he was stricken with a heart attack en route to his home from the Beasley's store. He had been residing at Zion's Rest for the past two years. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the North Corsicana Methodist church. The rites were conducted by Rev. W. S. Fisher, pas- tor of the church. Interment was made in the Pattison cemetery near Emhouse. Surviving are his wife of Corsicana; four sons, Royce Allen, Pickett; Ferman Allen, Emhouse, and Marvin and David Allen, both of Corsicana; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Deavers, Dallas, and Mrs. Vera Hickson, Corsicana; three brothers, David, Joel and Raymond Allen, all of Emhouse, and two sisters, Mrs. D. A. Vaughn, Angus, and Mrs. D. O, Richards, Corsicana. Pallbearers were H. Travis, Price Holloway, D. W. Hudson, Charles Wilson, Ed Wilson and Albert Beasley. Corley Funeral Home directed the arrangements.
