Robert Doyle Collins passed away August 28 at 3 p.m., in Belle View Estates in Monticello, Ark., at age 73.
Collins was a longtime resident of Choctaw County where he was an insurance salesman. He was born August 16, 1938 in Oktibbeha County. He is survived by his daughter Karen Stark of West Point and his three sons, Donald Lee Collins of Clarksville, Tenn., Ricky Bryan Collins of Sturgis, and Robert Daniel Collins of Star City, Ark. He is also survived by his sister Angie McGinnis of Sturgis and his five brothers, Billy Blankenship of Sturgis, Bobby Blankenship of Bradley, Archie Collins of Weir, Charles Collins of Longview and Jerry Collins of Lamar. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
The service was held August 31 at 3 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman by Rev. Russell Mord. Burial followed in Bethel Methodist Cemetery near Sturgis.
Coleman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
